Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moore is a Hollywood writer and actor who's talent has brought the attention of critics and recognition. Sagittarius is her birth name, and she was born in North Carolina on 3 December 1960. She is one of the three children of Peter Moore Smith and Anne Smith. Peter was a paratrooper. She is of English as well as Scottish heritage. Moore's dad moved around frequently due to his work. It was it difficult for her to meet and keep friendships. After her family relocated to Germany Moore went to Frankfurt American High School where she started appearing in performances. She graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Boston University. Moore graduated in 1983, with the degree of B.F.A. Moore moved in New York after graduating and began her career with off-broadway stage. Moore made her debut on screen in 1985 when she appeared on an episode in the show The Edge of Night. It was in 1986 that she made her breakthrough in which she was cast as the character as Sabrina Hughes as well as Frannie Hughes in the show The World Changes. In 1988, she was a part-time actress on the show and received a Daytime Emmy Award. Her film debut came in 1990 when she starred in Tales from the Darkside: The Movie that she later described as a horrible low-budget movie.
